After not falling sick for the past three years, my immune system finally decided to work against me, and I’ve been sick for the past two weeks. It’s been pure torture as I’ve been unable to get my creative juices flowing and have been lethargic most of the time.

While scrolling through Tumblr in bed, I found a gorgeous picture of Lord Ganesha that I absolutely had to redraw & add my own twist to it. Therefore I did 🙂 I wish I knew who the original artist was though, I’d love to credit him/her and drop them an email about it.

Here it is. Lined using a plain black Sharpie;
The second phase, where I used Prismacolour markers. These markers are pretty tedious to control, in fact they were my arch enemy which doing illustration in college (I prefer colour pencils) but this time around, they cooperated;
I’m pretty happy with the end result.
I hope inspiration visits me more often. It makes me a happier mermaid.
