“Laughter is an instant vacation”. This statement rings true, especially to those who are in dire need of a well-deserved break from the hustle and bustle of the city life. In all honesty, I believe in this. There’s nothing quite like a good laugh to chase the blues away. Also, it’s infectious! As cheesy as it sounds, laughter truly is the best medicine and probably something most of us take for granted.

With all the tragedies and series of unfortunate events that has taken place in Malaysia this year, we could all use a little something to laugh about and take our minds of it all. That’s where Harith Iskandar comes in! Bringing some humor and to spread some 1Malaysia cheer, the godfather of Malaysian stand up comedy alongside some special guest comedians are having a show on titled “To know Malaysia, is to laugh Malaysia!” on the 29th of October at Stadium Putra Bukit Jalil.

To make it a little more special, it’s in commemoration of World Mental Health Day (which is annually on the 10th of October). This is also in memory and a tribute to Robbie Williams suicide. I personally feel like this is a perfect way to pay respects to someone who has been a strong figure in comedy and has influenced so many people.

Also, a percentage of profits from ticket sales will be donated to OrphanCare. This NGO aims to place the less fortunate abandoned children in homes with loving families who will help and support them.

This comedy with a cause showcase, enables you to have a completely great time laughing with family and friends as well as contribute to a bigger purpose. Its a definite win-win situation. The best part is the ticket prices range from RM38 onwards, making it very affordable.
