Spotted in today’s News Strait Times, from the Fion Poon new collection launch. Also that was the day I met Dato’ Jimmy Choo.
Incredibly starstruck around Dato Jimmy Choo. So much respect for successful people like him who are so humble.
Excuse me while I enjoy my 5 seconds of fame,

inChristmas is said to be the most wonderful time of year, and though in terms of religion I don’t celebrate it, being Malaysian means having the perks to celebrate any festive you want to 😉 & this year, I was blessed to be a part of a completely different celebration with The Butterfly Project Malaysia at the 1Utama Christmas Media Launch.
Transported back to my childhood and reminiscence of an old classic Disney feel (think Bambi!), the whole place was decorated to look like a rustic woodland with cute critters dressed for Christmas! My favourite part is that the whole place was done in such a tasteful manner using a lot of crafty materials 🙂
The crafter in me obviously needed to pay key attention to these details. A lot of paper, felt and fabric was used. My favourite was the little snow details done on the trees using makeup sponges!
After registration which was done by our very own Mamasan Butterfly, Tammy Miu, we were treated to an area where we could personalize our own key chain;
Juize By Five allowed us to choose a strap color, one charm of our choice (sticking to the Christmas theme, I chose a snowflake!) and decide what we wanted to write on the keychain. However there was a word limit of 6 words, hence I opted for my nickname instead.
The launch was done by the VIPs in attendance including Tan Sri Dato Teo Chiang Kok who is the director of 1 Utama. Before that, he gave us a brief speech on the idea behind the concept and theme, giving everyone in attendance a better perspective of the rustic wonderland theme.
We were then graced by performances by The Loving Gaia Musical. They were both entertaining and had such fantastic voices and flair for acting. Definitely a worthy watch! Before calling it a day, we were treated to a hi-tea courtesy of Betjeman & Barton. This fantastic French brand kept to the theme and impressed us with some yummy Christmas goodies;
Of course no event with the lovely butterflies is ever complete without me taking a groufie! A special shout to lovely Vanessa Chong for giving me and my handmade necklace a shoutout on the mic! Completely humbled she liked my wearable art;
Here’s what I wore, because it’s a must 🙂
Wishing everyone a whimsical magical Christmas! May your days be filled with love, light and laughter to last you a lifetime 🙂
Embracing my inner Disney princess,

beetlejuice makeup, dark skin halloween makeup, halloween makeup, indian blogger, skeleton makeup, skull makeup. darkskin skeleton makeup
Halloween is the perfect occasion to play dress up & that is something I absolutely love. Themed parties, costume parties, anything that requires some form of artistic make-up really gets my creative juices flowing.
This year I decided to try something a little more spooky, hence this was the end result;
Skull makeup that took 15minutes; just fair foundation & pencil eyeliner accompanied by alot of smudging, with full on accessories including the Skeleton hand bracelet I was selling a year before. For my full outfit? This;
The outfit I made for my final collection during college. One of my favourite designs I’ve ever done.
& I spent my Halloween with the beautiful bestfriendloverperson Atie as a female Beetlejuice;
I got to do her makeup as well 😀
Last minute costume this year, so we made a pact to go all out next year. Can’t wait!
Oh & this happened; A little feature in The Star newspaper on Halloween and why we Malaysians celebrate it even though it’s not a traditional practice in this country.

breast cancer, breast cancer awareness, charity event, deeper than fashion, i love pink, pink, pink for support, SJMC, SJMC events, support for breast cancer
Subang Jaya Medical Centre organized a Breast Cancer Awareness in Subang Parade. The whole idea of the event was to not only spread awareness and educate the public on breast cancer, it was also to collect donations for cancer-related organizations and of course, the celebrate the survivors and pay respects to those who lost the battle.
Here’s where Deeper Than Fashion came in. I was approached by them to sponsor some of my handmade jewellery for the Jewellery Fashion show. My models were breast cancer survivors. Most of them were older women and I was completely blown away with their zest for life!
Through the first meeting (which I attending completely not ready for what I was about to experience) until the last catwalk, they were upbeat, optimistic and a fun bunch to be around. Their energy was infectious and to be honest, being around them was purely inspiring.
For someone who really, really loves pink I didn’t have anything in my wardrobe. So to show support I donned super hot pink lips from the NYX Matte collection:
The models were required to wear white, so I blended in with them 🙂
I had to plan out a batch of accessories for these lovely ladies, while also juggling my job and pending orders. Due to it being a last minute commitment, I had to ask several customers if they were willing to loan me their dreamcatchers for my survivor models to wear. The response from my customer, were overwhelming :’)
I also opted for different designs and colour waves to show that each individual is unique and that their colours did not dull regardless to the challenges they’ve faced. The one thing they all had in common was the words that I added on the dreamcatchers. Words of encouragement and motivation I knew they held on to through these trying times.
My lovely models & their catwalk moment:I want to thank all these ladies for being such good sports, inspiring me to work harder and complain less because I should be grateful for my health and all that I can do with it. They were such amazing, strong women. Each with kind words of encouragement for me and wishes that I’ll hold dear to my heart.
Having lost my mom to cancer, I take this cause to heart and encourage everyone to live life to their fullest. Best advice I’ve received, ever.
Also a special thank you to the wonderful organizers who were so incredibly sweet and accommodating;This is an experience I’ll cherish for always.

Woke up to an early morning short photoshoot where I got to play a mermaid with long, beautiful ombre blue hair;I previously purchased the extensions from Supermodel’s Secrets, but never got to wear them until now. Seriously though, look how pretty!;
It would have looked more realistic if I have flat ironned my hair, but since I had it slicked back in a pony, it worked just fine. It was the dip-dye extension in Color S02 (straight). They even have a variety of curly hair ones & even different colour combinations. Itching to get a pink & purple combination for another shoot.
At night, I had the opportunity to enjoy watching a movie under the stars. The idea really appealed to me; to be able to bring mats and pillows and have them strewn across the grass, while enjoying the stars above and fresh air, good company & great food. And of course, a brilliant movie.
They were showing The Sound of Music. A personal favourite and a classic you can’t go wrong with. The bestfriendloverperson and I ended up singing along to most of the songs while indulging in Burger Bakar Kaw Kaw & Crazy Potatoes. Free food by the way, with the Samsung Galaxy Life app (which is brilliant by the way!);
The Starlight Cinema will be going on until Saturday, the 21st of June. So here’s your chance to enjoy this experience (like I did!). There’s also a Batman marathon going on. Check out the details here; http://starlightcinema.com.my/

Got nominated one of the Cleo Hot Shots for 2014 & am thrilled about it. This year has been very kind to me, the universe has been very kind to me and I couldn’t feel more blessed and special. *counting all my blessings*
Went for my photoshoot today; styling, hair and makeup were not within my control, so it was an entirely new experience for me. I didn’t quite look or feel like me, but a change could do me good from time to time 🙂
With the entire team & my co-Hot Shot modelling partner;
Big hair, don’t care. After combing into my completely hairsprayed hair. I kinda like it; Check out the August issue when it hits the stands. I can’t wait!

If you are a foodie or a burger-addict, you definitely missed out if you didn’t head down to Padang Timur today. FriedChillies organized an I Eat Burgers event, 20 of the best burgers in Kuala Lumpur, all at the same place!
They sold coupons, canteen day style. Here’s a picture with all the information/links you should follow to make sure you don’t miss the next one;
Managed to try quite a number of burgers (with the help of a friendly Dhina-saur). It was ridiculously hot and I was thankful I wore shorts and a loose tank top, as well as carried my rainbow umbrella. It made it wayyy more tolerable to stand in the long lines to get burgers;
Here are a few I tried, that will get you hungry;
My favourite was the one with the sausage. The super sloppy, but super yummy, burger Om. Om is right, om nom nom much!
The next event will be a nasi lemak one, so if you are a foodie, save all the links as shown in the first picture!
& to end the post, the irony of it. They had a petting zoo. After eating burgers. I felt so guilty
Here’s me picking up a chick at the event;
