inWhen Bollywood is mentioned the first thing that comes to mind is bold, vibrant colours, synchronized dancing and gorgeous ladies donned in beautiful clothes. The one thing these ladies have in common; fantastic hair & flawless make-up!
When a new brand Bollywood inspired brand hit Muse by Watson, I was stoked to see what they had in store. The line called Bollywood Professional brings in movie-star worthy makeup, with all the glits and glamours at your own convenience, no pro makeup artist needed.
Muse by Watsons was swarmed with butterfly bloggers, fluttering from one station to the next to get their makeup done by the Bollywood Professional team. We had the opportunity to discuss colour palletes and products that suited our skin best.
The founder of Bollywood Professional, Rani Birring was also present, giving us little tips and answers all our inquiries about the brand.
As I was playing around with the testers, there were products that suited all skin tones which is a definite plus point on my end. It’s not easy to find afforable brands that suit dark skin, so Bollywood Professional is definitely on my lists of “must check out for dark skinned girls”.
I had already done my skin prior to the event, but I did get my lip game on using Bollywood Professional’s Liquid Lipstick in a bright shade of coral. Most people wouldn’t recommend such bright tones for dark skin, but its in my nature to try every colour I’m drawn to & successfully managed to pull this tone of.
The Liquid Lipstick is a creamy textured non-sticky almost gloss like lipstick. It has intense pigment which is perfect for people like me with darker lips. It took several swipes to get on for full coverage, but is long lasting. I also love that it has a hydrating effect which is great for dry lips. It serves as a moisturizer for your lips.
I also had the opportunity to mingle and flutter along with these lovely butterflies, making new friends and sharing input on the products.
A huge shout out the Mamasan, Tammy Lim the founder of The Butterfly Project for her continuous effort of getting all of us involved and participating in these events. So much respect and love for her.
Since the theme was modern Bollywood glamour, I opted for a gold top I got at a bazaar at an absolute steal of RM5, harem pants I sewed for my final project during fashion school, a whole load of gold bangles and the show stopper….
The Shappy tattoos that I cut up and deconstructed to make my own mehendi inspired design. Blog post on this coming up soon!
If your on the lookout for a new brand of makeup to try and would like to check our Bollywood Professional, you can browse through their website for a rough idea of the colours and tones they have in store: Bollywood Professional official website or alternatively dropby their counter at Muse by Watsons in Sunway Pyramid.

Walt Disney once said “If you can dream it, you can do it” & that applies perfectly to my creations.
Being a Disney kid myself, I had to come up with a tribute collection to all the dreams contributed & magic Disney brought to my childhood (and adulthood too!). You are never too old for Disney. Ever. *sprinkles magic fairy dust*
This necklace is a grown up way to add a little magic to any outfit. Not only does it give you the key to unlock your dreams, you also have a magic wand just incase 😉
What better way to add to the tribute than with a tribute to each movie? Beauty & the Beast , The Little Mermaid, Alladin & Frozen. Definitely more to come.

inIt’s okay to feel the way you feel. I once read this & I saved it to share, so here it is;
“You are at the right place. This is the right time. Every single choice you’ve ever made has brought you here, feeling this way because this is where you absolutely need to be. You are supported by the earth below and watched over by the skies above. You are a divine being of light and love and you are not alone. Light surrounds you. Love surrounds you. Hope surrounds you. It emanates your very being. If you ever forget, close your eyes and place your hand to your heart. Listen, feel. That feeling of your heart beating, that means the universe has given you a purpose. Love can’t be lost, you can’t be lost. You can lose your way, but you as an inner being can never be lost because love is the essence of your soul, and love is always present. How can someone so full of love be lost? The next time you lose your way, know that its only a ripple on the surface of the unfathomable ocean that is life. You are here for a bigger purpose, a reason and you, are never truly alone (or lost).”
The best kind of pick me up. Ever.

Got nominated one of the Cleo Hot Shots for 2014 & am thrilled about it. This year has been very kind to me, the universe has been very kind to me and I couldn’t feel more blessed and special. *counting all my blessings*
Went for my photoshoot today; styling, hair and makeup were not within my control, so it was an entirely new experience for me. I didn’t quite look or feel like me, but a change could do me good from time to time 🙂
With the entire team & my co-Hot Shot modelling partner;
Big hair, don’t care. After combing into my completely hairsprayed hair. I kinda like it; Check out the August issue when it hits the stands. I can’t wait!

Some days, I’m inspired to create other types of art. Going to start a series of drawings in this concept to keep the creative flow going. There’s nothing quite like inspiration when it hits; mind at ease & hands doodling with no restrictions.
The original design and idea of this drawing was based of something I found online. If anyone knows the original artist, please do let me know, would love to credit him/her

inI got featured in Marie Claire Malaysia’s May 2014 issue about my not-so-secret escape location when I need a break from the concrete jungle.
Though in the original printed magazine my name was missing an ‘I’, the awesome people at Marie Claire gave me a corrected version for my own filing purposes and social media. Props to them for that!
I got to style myself for the article on how I dress on a day to day basis, so yay! Here’s me wearing a dreamcatcher in the picture 🙂
