Deepavali Day Three. I kid you not when I said the party doesn’t stop ๐Ÿ˜‰ This time around, the party was at my place.

This is what I wore;PhotoGrid_1383582769966Top, necklace, earrings and bangles: Bazaar at Bukit Jalil.
Mermaid leggings: Fashion Forward.

Since it was in my house and I could foresee a lot of running around, I wore a white cotton kurti top with some embroidery designs in white as well to match my mermaid leggings. Mixing my traditional top with my modern leggings was a huge hit!

Everyone needs a white kurti top, it’s the easiest thing to mix and match for every occasion!;

PhotoGrid_1383583922185These huge silver hoop jhimki earrings were purchased 3 years ago, and I got them for RM10 a pair (I have the same ones in gold as well :3). Since my outfit was very bare, I had to have some accessories that stood out, and these earrings did the trick;
PhotoGrid_1383585596593I got this gorgeous paisley mango printed necklace for an absolute steal! It was Rm35, and worth every cent! I love how traditional it looks but can be worn on a daily as well. The details on it are really intricate & classy;
PhotoGrid_1383583871302Just to add some bling and colour to my otherwise plain outfit, I wore chunky bangles in shades of blue and green with rhinestones on it for some glam. I also added a big mother of pearl designed ring;
PhotoGrid_1383584024917The night before, I had drawn tiny neon peacock feathers to my nails using this technique; HERE!;
IMG_20131105_010522Lastly, my faceeee! I did minimal skin make up for a natural look, but this time since I was wearing something plain, I got to play dress up with my eye make up;
PhotoGrid_1383584075974I did a shimmery emerald green, turquoise and bronze mixed smokey eye using my Miss Rose palette (tutorial on this soon!) & played it down with nude lipstick from Stage.

My teardrop pottu was fromย Urban Aura Signature.ย I am thrilled I got the entire set of pottus from here as I’ve been only wearing those throughout Deepavali;

For Deepavali, it is tradition that we wear new clothes. I love this sort of a tradition, I mean, which girl doesn’t like an excuse to shop?! ๐Ÿ˜€

Deepavali also means, going to the temple, visiting family hence a lot of travelling and lots, & lots of eating! Here’s what I wore;
PhotoGrid_1383363460463Top, pants, bag, slippers & ring: Bazaar at Bukit Jalil.
Bangles: Bollywood Accessories, Brickfields.
Earrings: Gift.

This year I opted for a light blue outfit, staying true to my Indian mermaid self ๐Ÿ˜‰ The kurta top with goldish-bronze embroidery work in front was perfect for the weather as it wasn’t too warm. I got the top (after bargaining) for RM30.

The harem pants, was actually something I bought the year before at the same bazaar but never wore so technically it was new as well. It was a plain white free size pants, with pretty paisley designs. Again, super comfortable to wear for all that travelling;
PhotoGrid_1383366405434Now my favourite part, the accessories! The bangles are a mix and match from my older collection of bangles. The best part about bangles are you can always just remove or add on new colour and types to make it work. I have quite a big stack, so I usually just work around with those I already have ๐Ÿ™‚

The ring is probably one of best buys I got this Deepavali at the bazaar. At Rm10, this beautiful ring reminds me of the kollam design which gives this modern accessory a tradition twist;
PhotoGrid_1383364487757This is my favourite find this year, a ethnic Indian paisley designed handbag for RM10. Yes, RM10 for this gorgeous unique piece! I wish I had bought a few more colours as this is such a steal!;PhotoGrid_1383364560779Slip on flats, with embellishment to add a little festivities to my feet! This was also purchased at the bazaar from a year back or so;
IMG_20131102_122844& as for my make up, I keep it as minimal and as natural as possible because I knew a whole day out meant a lot of sweating. I used the basics for skin, eyeliner (it’s a must for every Indian girl ๐Ÿ˜‰ ) & nude lipstick from Stage.

My pottu was from Urban Aura Signature ๐Ÿ™‚ย IMG_20131102_084249May millions of lamps illuminate your life with endless joy,prosperity,health & wealth always.ย Wishing you and your family a very Happy Deepavali!

Lots of love, peace & rainbows from the Indian mermaid of Deeper than Fashion
