I was invited to the Himalaya Herbal Healthcare Anti Hair Fall event, along with 11 other bloggers from The Butterfly Project at Rupini’s Beauty Spa in Jalan Telawi, Bangsar. Having heard of the brand before and how it was really effective for those with hair loss, I was pretty excited to see what they had in store for us bloggers.
As soon as I walked in, I was treated to a drink (I picked fresh soya bean) and a little crossword puzzle based on the new Himalaya anti-fall products that I was about to try out. Luckily my brain decided to cooperate even with my lack of sleep.
Or maybe, just maybe, me & Shivani of Pen My Blog discussed some of the answers 😉
This was actually a good way to get to know the product as we had to read about it several times in order to solve the puzzle.
Himalaya Anti Hair Fall has been in the market for some time now and has quite a following. The reason being, these products not only are completely ayurvedic and herbal, but also is effective at such a reasonable price! It is a 2-in-1 formula that helps to nourish the roots and strengthen weakened hair. Also, it is a gentle shampoo that is safe to use on permed, straightened and dyed hair.
While waiting to get my hair consultation, I walked around taking pictures and I couldn’t help but take a picture of some of the Indian decor in Rupini’s. I especially love this piece. It was so beautiful hanging over a bowl of flowers;
Every one of us got our hair consultations done to give us a better idea of what we need to do to avoid hair fall and such. The consultant used a scanning device and ran it against the scalp so we could have a better look at the roots and how much oil it produces; To be honest, I was a little grossed out to see what it looked like up close. *points at picture*. That is just too weird looking! But the great news is, I have really healthy hair. Yay me! :3
After that, we got pampered to a nice 10 minute oil head massage using the Himalaya Revitalizing Hair Oil;
As soon as I heard the word oil, automatically I cringed inwards remembering the time when I was forced to use coconut oil for my hair as a kid (& oh, that smell!). I was pleasantly surprised with the scent of the oil that was used. Not too strong and quite pleasant.
The shampoo, smelt similar to the oil. It’s not a perfumey smell like I am used to, but has a natural, fresh smell to it. Something I could get used to (& if you know me, I can’t tolerate any form of weird smells, as it gives me a headache). This on it’s own was a plus point for me!
Once all the girls got our hairs done, the organizer of this event, Shireen Chrishanthi gave us a short talk on the Himalaya Anti Hair Fall Range and the benefits of it. Right after that, we were introduced to a professional hair stylist, Justin from Shear Perfection Hair Salon, who gave us his honest feedback on what hair suited us best, as well as the latest in hair trends;
David’s comment on my hairstyle was that it was nice, but safe and that if I added more waves to it, it’d be sexier. I think this calls for a Hair-volution blog post on all the things I’m made my hair go through these past few years. I doubt it’d be deemed as safe 😉
Before bidding farewell, we had a group photography session with all the wonderful people present that day;
I obviously wasn’t ready for the picture, but oh well 🙂
& we each got a goodie bag with the Himalaya’s Anti-Hair Fall Shampoo and Himalaya’s Anti-Hair Fall Cream to take home;
I’m looking forward to continue using these products to see what more it can do for my hair.
The pro was I love how shiny my hair looked after the event & the con was, it wasn’t as soft as I expected it to be, however that could be due to the minimal anti fall hair cream (that doubles as a conditioner of some sort) that was used on my hair earlier;
Also we got a free Hot Oil Massage voucher from Rupini’s Bangsar, and a discount voucher from Shear Perfection Salon. Which I can’t wait to try out & review soon!
A huge THANK YOU to Miss Shireen for having me and the other butterflies from The Butterfly Project, Himalaya Healthcare Malaysia, David of Shear Perfection Salon & lastly, Rupini’s Beauty Spa, Bangsar.
